Workforce Management Services: Where We'll Be in 2024

Written by Dana Spector | Nov 28, 2022 1:52:32 PM

We've seen a lot of changes in the way that businesses manage their employees. Here are some predictions for how Workforce Management Services will evolve in the next 5 years.

More Automation, Less Paperwork
One of the most tedious aspects of managing a workforce is all of the paperwork that comes with it. From timesheets to expense reports to leave requests, it seems like there's always something that needs to be filled out and filed away. Luckily, there have been some major advances in document management software in recent years, and I predict that this trend will only continue. By 2028, paper documents will be a thing of the past and all workforce management tasks will be automated.

Better Employee Self-Service
Another area where I predict big changes is in employee self-service. Currently, most workforce management systems require employees to go through their managers for even the simplest tasks such as requesting time off or updating their contact information. However, I think that by 2028 more and more businesses will start empowering their employees to take care of these things themselves. This will free up managers' time so, they can focus on more important tasks and it will also make life easier for employees.

Increased Compliance with Regulations
As businesses become more globalized, they are also subject to a greater number of regulations. This can make compliance a daunting task for even the most experienced workforce manager. However, I predict that by 2028 there will be more tools and resources available to help managers comply with regulations. Additionally, I think that regulatory bodies will start working more closely with workforce management service providers to ensure that businesses are using best practices when it comes to compliance.

Overall, I predict big things for Workforce Management Services in the next 5 years. From increased automation to better self-service tools for employees, the next few years should bring about some major improvements in the way that businesses manage their workers. I can't wait to see how these predictions play out!
